So I looked closer and I noticed that the only other thing was that the network was spiking, so I "checked" java.exe in the resource monitor and looked under the network tab. I found though that when the lag hit, the cpu usage dropped.

Now logically if it was Java running up the CPU process during the lag, there would be no way of telling how to eliminate the culprit.

It gave me the craziest results for Java.exe when I ran the game. You can run it too from the Windows Key+R.

I ran a little program inside of Windows 10 os called "perfmon.exe /res". But I didn't and what I found was astonishing. I have been for ever searching for the source of this lag for years and would not take that it was because of specs, yet I probably could have and would have been right minded by many if I had. Runs of the Integrated Intel HR Graphics adapter. Certainly not the graphics, and yet even in vanilla I am inundated with lag. I have been a fan for years and could never understand why so much lag. This does not help in multiplayer, unless the server is on peaceful mode. Reducing it to anything lower than your current difficulty can also help reduce mob spawn rate, or you can try getting a mod to reduce the spawning rate. This is because with peaceful hostile mobs do not spawn, and that is less entities lagging the game. Reducing your difficulty to Peaceful can also reduce lag. It is recommended to do this about once every 1-2 weeks. This too will help your computer in general. This will then take a minute depending on how long you have had your PC. Check every box that it allows and then click the OK box. It will calculate a few things which might take a minute but then will continue to open up a new window. Open it and select your main device, usually it the C:/ drive( OS (C:) ) then click OK. Search Disk Cleanup in the start menu, and you should find a program called such. There might be a way to do this on Mac/Linux, but I am not sure.
